Unarmed Security Officer - Vehicle Patrol
Brownstone Security is seeking Vehicle Patrol Unarmed Security Officers to work at a variety of sites and posts. Vehicle Patrol Unarmed Security Officers may be assigned to one or more sites. Additional duties and responsibilities will be defined in the site-specific post orders.
Responsibilities
- Be alert and attentive while on duty to ensure personal safety and your ability to observe activities, irrelevant of working environment.
- Collaborate with all Brownstone Security and client staff, irrelevant of position rank or title.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Observe and report various activities on and around the assigned post.
- Practice all safety rules and procedures, at assigned post, as established by Brownstone Security to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Report designated activities and irregularities by submitting written and/or verbal reports.
- Assist with coverage of standing officer posts as needed and or when directed by dispatch.
- Complete equipment and vehicle checklists provided by Brownstone Security.
- Comply with all driving laws.
- Conducts random and/or scheduled interior and exterior walking patrols under varying weather and/or environmental conditions.
- Install Trak Tik buttons when instructed by Brownstone Security.
- Maintain assigned equipment and assigned vehicle during assigned shift.
- Perform all post specific instructions to ensure execution of customer request/s.
- Respond to calls for assistance as directed by dispatch center.
- Train new officers on post duties as needed and when instructed by Brownstone Security.
- Additional essential duties will be defined in the Post Orders of the specific post for which the security officer is assigned.
Requirements
- 21 years of age
- Security Guard Permit as required by state law.
- Valid Driver’s License
- 2 years security experience
- Documents that establish identity
- Documents that establish authorization to work in the U.S
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Listen, understand, summarize, transfer and retain basic instructions and detailed information.
- See, read, and understand policy and procedure manuals, reports, and other written materials.
- See, read, and recognize obstacles in a variety of normal and/or emergency environments. Have vision that is correctable.
- Ability to frequently enter and exit patrol vehicles throughout the assigned shift.
- Constant use of both hands and arms in reaching/handling/grasping while using phone, notepad, writing reports and other administrative tasks.
- Stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Hear spoken or recorded information.
- Ability to observe and report activity.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- 5 years security or related experience
