We have an immediate need for a Legal & Policy Recruiting and Professional Development Coordinator to join our Denver office. The Legal & Policy Recruiting and Professional Development Coordinator will provide administrative support and collaborate with the Professional Development & Recruiting team to implement and administer all talent management strategic initiatives, programs, and processes as follows:
Legal & Policy Recruiting Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The recruiting portion of this role will primarily focus on the late stages of the recruiting process, moving candidates from post-offer to the pre-boarding and onboarding phases.
Onboarding Duties:
- Act as primary point of contact for all new attorneys and policy professionals.
- Spearhead the execution of personalized onboarding plans, including mentor assignments, welcome meetings, introductions to key stakeholders, office tours and introductions to firm resources.
- Prepare and deliver all pre-boarding and onboarding materials, including system access, orientation and training schedules, and arrival instructions for first day.
- Serve as a product expert, providing guidance on using our onboarding platform, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring our onboarding portal. materials are up to date and accurate.
- Conduct regular check-ins with new hires.
Recruiting and Miscellaneous Duties:
- Assist with interview scheduling as needed.
- Assist with summer associate program as needed.
- Maintain annual hiring and attrition data.
Professional Development Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain master documents and department spreadsheets such as associates and policy professionals rosters.
- Assist with orientation of new hires and new shareholders, including booking conference room and coordinating IT and catering services (as needed), requesting list of new hires from HR, maintaining spreadsheet, compiling photos, and creating PowerPoint.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- Outstanding organization, attention to detail, initiative, communication and problem-solving skills, professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong computer skills including proficient knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Self-starter who possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm or professional setting are preferred.
Compensation and Benefits: Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off. In addition, this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week. We are offering a range of salary for this role from $50,000 - $75,000 commensurate with experience.
