What are the responsibilities and job description for the ARD Facilitator position at Brownsboro ISD?
Primary Purpose
Facilitate the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee process to ensure compliance with federal and state special education laws and regulations. Coordinate and support campuses, parents, and special education staff in the development, implementation, and monitoring of individualized education programs (IEPs) that promote student success.
Qualifications: Education/Certification
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas educator certification preferred
- Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and compliance requirements
Major Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor implementation of IEP goals, accommodations, modifications, and services.
- Support MDRs (Manifestation Determination Reviews) and disciplinary ARDs.
- Assist with transition planning for students ages 14 and older.
- Review special education records for compliance prior to TEA monitoring activities.
- Support campuses with Child Find, referral, and intervention processes.
- Serve as a member of the district compliance team and assist with corrective action plans.
Pay: $49,923.00 - $70,000.00 per year
