Responsibilities
- Support classroom activities by preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and assisting with educational play
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
- Assist with daily routines such as meal times, nap times, diaper changes, and bathroom assistance
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and social skills among children
- Collaborate with lead teachers to observe developmental milestones and document children's progress
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing personalized care under supervision
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's day-to-day activities and needs
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or similar settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided upon hiring
- Experience with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Familiarity with working with children who have disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
