Position Summary
The Sanitation Technician is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing our seafood processing, production, and cold storage areas while ensuring compliance with food safety, HACCP, and sanitation standards. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize seafood processing equipment, production areas, and storage facilities
- Follow established sanitation procedures and food safety protocols
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment
- Assist with maintaining a clean and organized facility
- Load and unload trucks as needed
- Report maintenance or sanitation concerns to management
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Work collaboratively with production and warehouse staff to support daily operations
Qualifications
- Previous sanitation experience in a food processing or manufacturing environment preferred
- Knowledge of HACCP, food safety, and sanitation practices is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Forklift or warehouse experience is a plus
- Experience loading and unloading trucks preferred
- Dependable, punctual, and flexible
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- Full-time position
