Job Overview
Gate Attendant needed for private community. Afternoons Part Time. Must be professional, dependable . The job is low stress and drama free. Applicant will work alone in a guard house checking in guests and workers in a relatively low volume traffic environment. Must have a pleasant demeanor and a professional appearance. There are no late night shifts. The latest shift ends at 8:30 PM. Most end at 7:30 PM. There are no foot patrols required. Seniors are encouraged to apply as it is a job where you can supplement your income. Looking for someone who wants to work about 20 hours a week. Must live around San Juan Capistrano area. We are seeking a dedicated Gate Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, ensuring the safety and security of the premises, and providing excellent customer service. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe environment for all visitors and staff. We can assist you with obtaining a Guard card.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility by checking identification and issuing passes as necessary.
- Conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to detect any suspicious activities. .
- Maintain a visible presence at the gate to deter unauthorized entry and ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or military personnel when necessary to address security concerns.
- Handle conflicts effectively, employing conflict management techniques to resolve issues peacefully.
- Document incidents and maintain accurate records of daily activities for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
