Brown Technologies is currently seeking a Cyber Analyst who is a self-starter supporting our Army customer at Redstone Arsenal, working closely with project teams, government stakeholders, and technical leads to ensure mission success and program execution.
DESCRIPTION:
The Cyber Analyst supports cybersecurity operations, system compliance, and program execution for Army systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing cybersecurity posture across IT and Operational Technology (OT) environments, including energy and control systems.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in cybersecurity implementation, system administration, risk management, and compliance with DoD and Army cybersecurity policies. This position requires the ability to analyze complex systems, provide technical guidance, and support mission-critical initiatives across multiple stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and implement plans for upgrading systems and supporting restoration of components, services, and cybersecurity configurations.
Provide technical assistance in cybersecurity implementation and reporting requirements, including security patching, configuration management, and DISA STIG compliance.
Enforce cybersecurity policies, establish accountability, analyze requirements, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
Support program management activities including documentation, oversight, and execution of cybersecurity initiatives.
Provide support to Army Materiel Command (AMC) G2/6 (CIO) by identifying gaps in processes, procedures, and cybersecurity standards across infrastructure programs.
Assist system owners in achieving and maintaining compliance with Army and DoD cybersecurity policies, including RMF requirements.
Provide System Administrator support to manage and maintain CS/OT systems and ensure reliable operations.
Enhance cybersecurity posture of control systems through technical and programmatic support and process improvement recommendations.
Analyze and interpret system architectures, networks, and production environments from assessments and documentation.
Develop technical diagrams, dependency maps, and reports to provide leadership with situational awareness of cybersecurity posture.
Provide engineering and technical support including IT/OT topology analysis, planning, and system control design.
Support customers and system owners in system identification, categorization, analysis, and sustainment.
Collaborate with team members to ensure mission assurance is integrated into systems and provide reporting to leadership.
Develop and maintain dashboards and common operating pictures to support decision-making.
Read and develop SOPs, EXORDs, and OPORDs and align requirements to mission tasks.
Additional Duties:
Support continuous improvement of cybersecurity processes and system performance.
Assist in coordinating cybersecurity efforts across multiple programs and stakeholders.
Provide input to leadership on cybersecurity risks, system dependencies, and operational impacts.
Participate in meetings, briefings, and technical reviews as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
Active Secret security clearance
Minimum of 10 years of cyber-related experience
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio) and Microsoft Teams
Ability to clearly present and communicate technical approaches and findings
Experience supporting cybersecurity operations, system administration, and compliance activities
Preferred:
U.S. Citizen and active Secret Clearance
Experience supporting Army or DoD customers, particularly within AMC environments
Familiarity with RMF, DISA STIGs, and cybersecurity compliance frameworks
Experience with Operational Technology (OT) and control systems environments
Experience developing dashboards, system diagrams, and technical reporting
Understanding of infrastructure programs such as MILCON, ERCIP, UESC, and ESPC
