Plate Fabrication (Burn-table Operator)
Job Summary:
Burn-table Operator is responsible for executing burn-table, seaming, cutting and rolling plate. The operator is required to maintain a safe and organized work environment and perform other jobs around the shop as assigned. This position is perfect for a person that is self-motivated, adaptable, and resourceful and likes variety in working with different heavy equipment machinery.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safe operations and mindset among workforce.
- Perform cutting, seaming and rolling, while ensuring quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
- Ensuring that all plate parts meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order.
- Seeking ways to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.
- Adhere to safety procedures and protocols within the shop.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated organization and effective process management skills.
- Rigging and bridge and jib crane operations.
Education and Experience:
- 2-5 years applicable hands-on experience in a heavy industrial fabrication shop.
- Significant experience reading/interpreting blueprints and following shop routings and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
· Standing for extended periods of time.
· Repetitive motions entailing walking, lifting, bending, twisting, stretching required.
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
