Position: Warehouse Associate
Location: Dallas Center, IA
Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time available

As a Warehouse Associate, you’ll play a key role in helping us keep the gears of our distribution center running smoothly. You’ll work alongside a fantastic team that takes pride in making our warehouse an organized, safe, and fun place to be. Whether you're unloading freight, picking and packing orders, or keeping inventory in check, your work will directly contribute to the success of Brown’s Shoe Fit Co.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Unload incoming freight and load outbound trucks
• Sort incoming shipping cartons by style and size
• Organize products and move stock to various warehouse locations
• Pick and pull products for customer orders, ensuring accuracy and speed
• Pack orders securely in shipping cartons
• Use a computer system to scan products, generate orders, and print shipping labels
• Take inventory using a handheld scanner or by counting by hand
• Notify the supervisor about missing, lost, or damaged items
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse environment
• And other duties as assigned to keep things running smoothly

What We’re Looking For:

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication) daily
• Reliability is a must! We value dependable team members who can show up and give their best
• Ability to stand for long periods, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
• Comfort with climbing ladders as needed for product retrieval
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately and safely
• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Ability to read and speak English

Physical Demands:

• You’ll be using your hands and arms to grab, lift, push, and reach
• Physical activities like walking, standing, bending, and squatting will be part of your daily routine
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move boxes with a dolly cart or electric pallet jack
• Ability to work at varying heights and operate powered warehouse equipment (such as forklifts)
• Work will be performed in a moderately climate-controlled warehouse
