Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service to enhance their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate cash handling and basic math skills
- Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, food preparation, and sanitation to uphold food safety standards
- Clear tables promptly by bussing and supporting kitchen staff during busy hours in a fast-paced setting
- Manage reservations through platforms like OpenTable and coordinate guest seating to optimize flow
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclub settings preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations quickly
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for supporting food prep when needed
- Excellent time management skills to juggle serving, cashiering, and cleaning duties efficiently
- Prior experience in serving or host/hostess roles that demonstrate professionalism and adaptability
