What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Order Fulfillment position at Brown's Auto Salvage?
Brown's Auto Salvage is a large salvage yard in Castleton Vermont that employs over 60 people. We strive to create an environment where every worker is respected and valued. We take great pride in the fact that we have never laid a worker off in the 47 years of operation.
We are currently hiring for a Quality Control Tech in our warehouse. QC Techs work in groups of two with a rotating schedule. We have three different groups which include Parts Pulling, Parts Washers & Final QC.
Responsibilities include:
- Parts Puller: Pulling our used inventory accurately. (Basic computer skills are required). Pullers are expected to verify condition matches, part notes, correct side, cap plugging any inlets on drivetrain & engine components & etc.
- Parts Washer: Maintain our quality standards. We require a very high level of cleanliness on all parts leaving our facility.
- Final QC: Ensure the part matches quality standards. Part notes match, correct side, correct stock, validate part is completed out using smart phone provided with adequate photos taken & shipping guidelines followed.
The hours are 9am until 6pm (all though end time can vary significantly due to workload). Monday through Friday with no weekend work. The right candidate for this job is someone who has a positive attitude and is enjoyable to work with. This job is fast paced and works much better when all of the warehouse workers are able to work as a team. Basic automotive knowledge is not required but is preferred.
Pay starts at $17/hr.
This job is labor intensive, dirty, wet & hard on your body. You will be standing for 8 hours. Please keep this in mind when applying.
