Brown & Root Industrial Services is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Business Manager and operations team in a fast-paced construction office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is career-driven and looking to grow with our company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Business Manager with daily administrative tasks
- Prepare procurement documents, including work releases, subcontracts, and purchase orders
- Process Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
- Review and process master agreements and certified payrolls as needed
- Prepare and maintain spreadsheets and generate reports as required
- Enter and manage contracts in JD Edwards and PMIS (Access-based project management system)
- Retrieve and file documents and supplies, which may require the use of a 3-step ladder
- Operate a company pool vehicle when necessary
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement (subcontracts) and accounting (AP/AR)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience with JD Edwards is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must be able to pass a company drug and health screening
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as using a small ladder and lifting office supplies
- Valid driver’s license preferred
