HVAC Technician
10 years’ experience in troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of industrial Chiller HVAC w/ammonia experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance on ammonia compressors, evaporators, condensers, and related utility equipment (boilers, pumps).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues within industrial refrigeration systems.
- Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, EPA regulations, and OSHA standards for hazardous materials.
- System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, pressure, and temperature, ensuring proper operation of automated controls.
- Emergency Response: Respond to leaks or system outages, including after-hours emergency calls.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience: 10 years of experience in industrial refrigeration, specifically with ammonia (NH3).
- Certifications: RETA Certification (CARO or CIRO) is highly preferred or required.
- Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, including PLC controls.
- Safety Training: HAZMAT training and knowledge of PSM.
- Physical Ability: Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in extreme temperatures .
