The Opportunity

You'll be the go-to person for our customers—building trust, solving problems, and making sure they get the parts and service they need to keep their operations running. You'll also play a hands-on role in our warehouse operations, from receiving shipments to preparing orders for delivery. You'll work closely with our small, tight-knit team and be a key reason customers keep coming back. Brown Industrial Parts Services is a small business serving manufacturing plants in the Kansas City area. We keep the plants running by supplying fasteners, fittings, piping, valves, and more. What You'll Do

  • Care for customers via phone and email—answer questions, solve problems, and keep orders moving
  • Hunt down parts through current suppliers, online searches, and your growing network
  • Work with suppliers to purchase the right products on time
  • Process orders from start to finish—customer requests, supplier orders, and follow-ups
  • Receive and check in incoming packages—verify contents, flag discrepancies, and keep records accurate
  • Prepare outgoing orders for shipping or local delivery—pack, label, and coordinate pickups
  • Manage and maintain inventory—track stock levels, organize the warehouse, and flag reorder needs
  • Pitch in on occasional projects around the office or warehouse when needed

  • Experience with QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise and/or Google Workspace

Details

  • Full-time salaried role: $42,000–$48,000 (based on experience)
  • Quarterly profit share (up to 20% of annual salary)
  • Company retirement plan with employer match (eligible after 1 year)
  • Generous paid time off policy (earned after first 3 months)
  • Annual allowance for company gear
  • Work hours: 8 hours, Monday–Friday, flexible between 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Kansas City, MO 64119 (must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting)

Salary : $42,000 - $48,000
