- Operate front-end loaders, rubber-tired backhoes, and off-road dump trucks (ADT) to receive and dump loads of borrow or aggregate in designated locations.
- Use skid steers and similar light-duty bucketed equipment to spread and level dirt and gravel.
- Operate off-road water trucks, rollers, and compactors to achieve specified compaction.
- Work on a variety of construction settings, including commercial site development, subsurface utilities installation, aggregate and mining operations, heavy highway construction, and industrial settings.
- Participate in scopes of work such as mass excavation, embankment & grading, large diameter pipe installation, utility probing, drainage establishment, and stockpiling materials.
- Conduct daily inspections and minor maintenance on excavators, dozers, front-end loaders, packers, and other necessary tools.
- Perform pre- and post-inspections of equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
- Complete assignments as directed and adapt to site responsibilities as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to assist in various roles on the site, demonstrating a teamwork-oriented attitude.
- Engage in general labor duties, including strenuous manual labor in heavy construction projects.
- Maintain a clean job site by securing tools and equipment, contributing to a safe working environment.
- Adhere to safety procedures and incident reporting, communicating issues to the foreman, safety director, or HR manager.
