Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas using various cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely while mixing, applying, and disposing of cleaning solutions in accordance with safety protocols.
- Conduct routine sanitation tasks including trash removal, dusting, window cleaning, and disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
- Maintain and operate custodial equipment efficiently to ensure optimal cleaning results and equipment longevity.
- Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting and manual handling tasks to prevent injuries while moving furniture or supplies.
- Monitor supply levels and restock cleaning materials as needed to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with team members to complete facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting touch-ups when required.
Requirements
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial environments.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and chemical handling safety procedures.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, and other custodial tools effectively.
- Strong understanding of safe lifting practices and manual handling techniques to prevent injuries.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high cleanliness standards.
