We are seeking a Valuation Analyst to join our team!
As a Valuation Analyst, you’ll support the delivery of valuation and financial analysis services that help clients make informed business decisions. This role provides the opportunity to develop technical valuation skills while working alongside experienced valuation professionals in a collaborative, client-focused advisory environment. Valuation Analysts contribute to engagements used for financial reporting, tax, and strategic planning purposes.
What your day looks like:
- Assists with financial and valuation analyses for a variety of purposes including mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting, estate and gift tax, ESOPs, and litigation support.
- Compiles, analyzes, and interprets financial data, industry research, and market trends to support valuation conclusions.
- Develops and maintains valuation models, schedules, and supporting documentation using accepted valuation methodologies and standards.
- Conducts research into industry, market, and economic factors relevant to valuation engagements.
- Prepares supporting documentation and assists in drafting valuation reports, memoranda, and presentations.
- Reviews and organizes workpapers to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm standards.
- Collaborates with Senior Valuation Analysts, managers, and partners to support timely completion of engagements.
- Maintains awareness of current valuation and accounting standards (GAAP, GAAS, IFRS, ASC 805 & 820).
- May participate in proposals, client meetings, and other business development activities as appropriate for level.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of valuation, finance, accounting, or related experience; public accounting background a plus.
- Interest in or progress toward professional designations (CFA, ABV, ASA, CVA) preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Exposure to financial modeling, data analysis, or valuation concepts preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Willingness to stay up to date through continuing professional education.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
