Associates are responsible to all levels above the Associate level. During the first years of employment, an Associate will receive varied and general experience. Associates execute basic audit, tax, or other assignments while working under the supervision of more experienced accountants, with increasing independence as experience and proficiency develop. Continuing professional education will be broad in nature to provide a well‑rounded educational opportunity.

Tax
$50,000.00-$75,000.00
Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, credentials, demonstrated skills, performance, and business need.

What your day looks like:
Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Imports client data to workpaper files.
- Prepares workpapers and posts entries to working trial balances.
- Takes responsibility for assigned or recurring sections of engagements, escalating issues or concerns appropriately as they arise.
- Assists with client communication and documentation.
- Communicates open items, questions, and deadlines to senior team members.
Tax
- Assists with the preparation of individual, partnership, corporate, and other tax returns in accordance with firm standards and applicable regulations.
- Prepares supporting workpapers, schedules, and book‑to‑tax adjustments.
- Performs basic tax research and documents findings under supervision.
- Performs assigned audit procedures and prepares clear, well‑documented workpapers.
- Assists with walkthroughs, testing, and audit documentation in accordance with firm and professional standards.
- Drafts basic financial statement components and supporting schedules, as assigned.
- Reviews the adequacy of clients’ internal control systems, documents systems, and performs testing to verify the accuracy of data provided, as assigned.
- Drafts components of clients’ financial statements, as needed
- Maintains firm confidentiality.
- Follows firm policies by conforming to procedures outlined in the Associate Handbook.
- Develops an understanding of the firm’s vision, plan, and strategies and their role in achieving them.
- Works sufficient hours needed in order to complete projects assigned
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
- Working toward CPA designation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- General experience using Microsoft Office software applications.
- Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services (SSARS), and financial statement disclosures.
- Basic knowledge of individual, partnership, and corporate tax laws.
