Brown Eagle is experiencing significant growth and currently seeking a Shipping/Receiving Data Entry Clerk with a commitment to
excellence in safety and quality to join the team at our Corporate
Office in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This individual should be
detail-oriented, a self-starter and capable of driving continuous
improvement in the company’s efforts to keep high standards of shipping and receiving. The Shipping / Receiving Clerk will
be responsible for, but not limited to, scheduling
shipments, data entry, problem solving and working closely with our
internal customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Record shipments and inventories in SAP (must know SAP T-codes)
- Coordinate, and maintain shipping/receiving requests and documents
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records, including creating BOLs
- Create complete receiving and shipping transactions
- Ensure compliance for the Shipping Department to all company and government safety standards.
- Prepare reports and file shipping/receiving records
- Assist in resolving any daily shipping and receiving discrepancies
Qualifications, Education and Required Skills
- Proficiency with database applications (SAP)- TWO YEARS EXPERIENCE
- Must be willing to work flexible and extended hours as required, including some weekends.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- The ability to read, write, understand and speak English
- A minimum of 2 years of previous work experience in shipping/receiving
- Detail oriented; Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Microsoft Office experience.
- Demonstrated good internal customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects.
