Brown Dog Inn is a boutique dog boarding and enrichment facility dedicated to providing exceptional care in a calm, nature-inspired environment. We use Fear Free® handling techniques and a behavior-led approach to create a safe, enriching experience for every dog in our care.

Full-Time | Weekends & Holidays Required

We’re looking for an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Canine Care Professional to join our team. This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident working with dogs in a social group setting and has a strong understanding of canine behavior, body language, and safety.

What You’ll Do

• Supervise dog playgroups and enrichment activities
• Hike and walk dogs on leash
• Prepare meals and administer medications
• Monitor behavior, health, and wellbeing while documenting observations
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility
• Conduct temperament evaluations and sociability assessments for newly enrolled guests
• Mentor and support entry-level team members

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with dogs in a social environment (boarding, daycare, shelter, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of canine behavior, body language, and socialization
• General knowledge of common medical conditions, medications, and wellness concerns
• Canine First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude
• A genuine passion for providing outstanding care for dogs

• This position involves a flexible schedule, with shifts that may include 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, and 11:00 AM–8:00 PM. Would you be comfortable with this range of shifts?
