Residential Supervisor for Individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilites (IDD)

BCDS is looking for a compassionate, motivated Residential Site Supervisor to help guide the daily operations of a residential program supporting 12 adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD). You will share responsibility with a co‑supervisor and collaborate closely with all BCDS departments to bring our mission to life: “Expanding Horizons for People with Developmental Disabilities.”

Schedule
Two supervisors share responsibility for the home. Shifts are typically 12 hours (8 a.m.–8 p.m.), with some flexibility based on staffing and resident needs.
Alternating weekly schedule:
- Week A: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday (36 hours)
- Week B: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (48 hours, including 8 hours overtime)
Your counterpart works the opposite days, giving you a predictable, balanced rotation.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Support
- Oversee scheduling, training, coaching, and performance management for all DSP staff.
- Foster a positive, collaborative environment where staff feel supported and residents feel valued.
Resident Health & Safety
- Ensure the home meets all safety and licensing standards, including monthly fire and tornado drills and weekly apartment checks.
- Coordinate with case managers, medical professionals, and pharmacists to support residents’ health needs.
- Oversee medication administration procedures and ensure DSPs follow proper protocols.
Daily Operations & Quality of Care
- Serve as the primary communication link for families, case managers, vocational staff, and internal departments.
- Support residents with budgeting, shopping, and financial decision‑making.
- Review and help implement person‑centered support plans and behavior plans.
- Step in as direct support when needed, assisting with daily living activities and personal care.
Administrative & Compliance
- Ensure documentation is accurate and completed on time.
- Report and follow up on building maintenance needs.
- Maintain compliance with all licensing and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services or management field preferred, OR equivalent experience in human services or IDD support.
- Supervisory experience is a plus.
- Experience working with adults with IDD or other vulnerable populations is highly valued.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
Hiring Requirements
- Must pass background checks, abuse registry checks, MVR check, and drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
