Job Overview:
Brown County Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our faculty for the upcoming academic year. The ideal candidate will be a spiritually grounded Christian educator who is enthusiastic about teaching, building strong relationships with students, and integrating a biblical worldview into all aspects of instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in the following subject areas: Fine Art (art, choir, or theater), Physical Education, Spanish I (preferred, but not required)
- Create a classroom culture of respect, excellence, and Christ-like character
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of students
- Integrate biblical principles and Christian values into daily instruction and classroom interactions
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress, attendance, and behavior
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school administration
- Participate in faculty meetings, school functions, professional development, and spiritual enrichment opportunities
- Integrate prayer, scripture, and Christian values into daily instruction and classroom activities
- Maintain classroom management strategies that align with the school's values and expectations
- Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and professional development opportunities
- Uphold and model the mission, vision, and values of Brown County Christian School
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian education
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred in Education, Art, Music, Theater, or a related field)
- Teaching certification (preferred but not required)
- Previous teaching experience in a secondary setting (preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills and a heart for discipleship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to integrate faith into teaching in a meaningful and age-appropriate way
- Complete provided beginning of year CPR and First Aid certification
