Prevailing Wage Cement Mason/Concrete Finisher

Brown Contracting is hiring an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our team. This role requires a skilled tradesperson who can place, finish, and repair concrete on sidewalks, curbs, driveways, slabs, and other flatwork with accuracy and attention to detail. The ideal candidate is a skilled finisher who takes pride in producing high-quality work and can perform independently in the field. This role requires experience with concrete finishing techniques and the ability to meet project specifications for grade, level, and surface finish.

Responsibilities:

• Place, spread, screed, and finish concrete to line, grade, and specification.
• Perform finishing work on sidewalks, curbs, driveways, slabs, and flatwork.
• Operate hand and power tools including trowels, floats, screeds, edgers, and saws.
• Read and follow project plans, grades, and layout stakes.
• Ensure finished concrete meets quality and appearance standards.
• Perform patching, repairs, and remedial finishing as needed.
• Work closely with crew members and supervisors to complete work safely and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites.

Qualifications:

• 2 years of concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Strong experience in flatwork, sidewalks, curbs, and general concrete construction preferred.
• Ability to set grades and finish to specification.
• Proficient with standard finishing tools and techniques.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor conditions.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
