What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interior Designer – Government Representative position at Brown Construction Services?
Seeking an individual experienced with office building space planning and systems furniture to support a long-term contract with the Federal Government. In this position, you will act as the Government owner’s technical representative to advise on interior space design for space reconfigurations and new construction. You will be part of a team of Federal employees and contractors.
Required qualifications:
- Must be able to pass a Public Trust background check
- A bachelor’s degree in architecture or interior design from an accredited University
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with commercial interior space design and space optimization projects
- Experience in researching and sourcing large furniture buys
- Experience with the major system furniture lines
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office and AutoCAD
- Excellent team communication skills, design presentation and storytelling skills
- Well-rounded, strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management and technical project resolution
Preferred qualifications:
- Secret clearance
- Familiarity with design/construction of government office buildings
Pay: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
