The purpose of the leader is to drive a culture of success through client retention, new business, efficient processes, and teammate engagement whilemaintainingpositive operating margins. The leader will develop,direct,andmonitorshort-term and long-term business goals andobjectivesof the profit center. The leader will alsoestablish, maintain, and cultivate client, carrier, and enterprise-wide business partnerships. The leader will recruit, develop, andretaintoptalent;and manage the overall profitability of the Profit Center through effective leadership.
How You Will Contribute:
Serve as lead member of the Profit Center management team in the development and execution of short term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals, acquisitions, strategicplanningand growthobjectives.
Responsible to meet top line growth goals and budgeted operating margins.
Plans,developsand directs the Profit Center'sobjectivesthrough oversight of department leadership.
Targets and manages the development, production, promotion and sale of the organization's products and services meet customer and company goals which will generate profit to meet plannedobjectives.
Evaluates and analyzes the results of the programs and services regularly and uses this information toidentifyand select best courses of action to implement towardobjectives.
Responsible for the adherence of the organization's guidelines,policiesand applicable laws.
Assiststeammates in client opportunities, maximizingcarrierrelationships andenterprise-wideresources.
Set the vision and competencies for each position of the profit center; recruit top talent through networking and professional relationships;retainand develop leadership and direct reports.
Perform duties of a Producer by activelyparticipatingin theselland renewal of business.
Promote a positive culture of teamwork, mutual respect and foster a culture that instills a "can do" attitude in teammates.
Licenses & Certifications:
Requisiteinsurance licensure per the state in which the profit center conducts business.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university.
15 yearsprogressive leadership experience.
Computer literacy andproficiencywith Microsoft Office products in addition to insurance industry software products is preferred.
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with others, to explain complex issues, to receive and interpret complex information, and to respond appropriately.
Ability to prepare andmonitorbudgets, commissions, costs,incomeand other related accounting concepts to practical solutions.
Full and complete knowledge of insurance products and usages.
Ability toinitiateand foster rapport with internal and external business partners, as well as prospects and clients.
Ability to work well under pressure,remainingcalm and courteous in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to effectively present information to employees, top management, customers, clients, publicgroupsand/or board of directors.
Ability to define problems, collect data,establishfacts, and draw valid conclusions.
