Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential settings
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects
- Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics to identify issues efficiently
- Follow electrical safety procedures in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards during all phases of work
- Install electrical building systems including wiring for lighting, power distribution, control panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Use hand tools and power tools safely to complete construction tasks such as framing carpentry related to electrical installations
- Adhere to electrical building codes and low-voltage requirements while ensuring compliance with all local regulations and safety protocols
Experience
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in residential and commercial electrical work
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and electrical safety procedures
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, troubleshooting electrical systems, and reading complex blueprints
- Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics for accurate troubleshooting
- Construction site experience with the ability to work efficiently in dynamic environments while maintaining safety standards
- Ability to perform high-quality electrical diagnostics and repairs using a variety of hand tools including screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, power drills, and frame carpentry tools
