Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to enter all bills and daily sales from our POS system. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounts payable background in accrual accounting, proficiency with QuickBooks desktop software, and an understanding of accrual accounting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks desktop
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare and record journal entries, including debits & credits, for various accounts
- Manage accounts payable and sales processes efficiently
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting tasks
- Analyze accounts for discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software QuickBooks desktop (not QuickBooks online)
- Familiarity with financial concepts regarding expensing vs. capitalizing
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, accounts payable.
- Ability to perform 10 key typing efficiently for data entry tasks
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high accuracy standards
- We will test for QuickBooks proficiency during interview.
- This position requires onsite work
