What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Clerk position at Brown and Root Industrial Services?
Chemical plant located in Theodore, Al is currently seeking an experienced Logistics Clerk. The Clerk would be responsible for entering daily production, communicating status updates between production, laboratory, and logistics personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to respond quickly to identify and correct quality issues.
- Coordinate between packaging warehouse, production plant, and logistics department to enter
and track material production.
- Track and maintain inventory of finished goods and raw materials.
- Coordinate logistic movements with on-site/off-site team.
- Perform weekly and monthly inventory counts.
- Store/track non-conforming materials inventory.
- Maintain and file shipping documents.
- Work with carriers, export coordinators, schedulers, and warehouse specialists assisting with
work orders and delivery methods.
Requirements:
Communicate clearly and effectively with management
Knowledge of handling warehouse packaging documents
- Skilled, proficient in (Excel, Word, Office, Lotus Notes and SAP)
- Ability to plan production and schedule on a day-to-day basis
- Candidate should have at least 5 yrs experience working in Logistics and have warehousing/logistics knowledge.

Must have a valid Driver's License.
Must be able to pass a drug screening and physical.
Must be able to bass a background check.
Must be authorized to work in the US.
Minimum high school education required.
