ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Supervise department staff and work with Human Resources and Executive Vice President & CFO to ensure staffing decisions and actions are consistent with organizational goals.
  • Provide leadership for the Technology Infrastructure Department Staff to ensure team collaboration and effectiveness.
  • Work with the Technology Staff to create an overall direction for internal business systems, both in-house and vendor-sourced.
  • Manage the multi-user systems environment by establishing PACA's technological direction and implementing relevant action plans.
  • Achieve and maintain a working knowledge of PACA's business processes and generate technological strategies and solutions in order to improve efficiency and capacity and to provide necessary problem solving and analytical support.
  • Work with other Department Directors and Executive Team on individual Department needs to develop both short term (1-2year) and long term (3-5year) technology project roadmap/strategy.
  • Provide technical project management support that includes an appropriately balanced pursuit of current business requirements, application/infrastructure requirements, and long-term strategies.
  • Direct data/voice network administration, Server administration, Virtual Infrastructure administration, Disaster Recovery administration/strategy, and budget management.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce security standards and disaster recovery plans for all critical systems.
  • Leverage current trends and relationships in the Information Technology industry in order to recommend business development strategies.
  • Continually analyze and evaluate operational procedures and policies to achieve the highest level of customer service and optimize financial results.
  • Leverage vendor relationships to explore options for opportunities and negotiate deals to identify the best possible cost structure for products/services.
  • Administer operating budget through sound decision making based on cost, necessity, and timeliness.
  • Lead and manage the Technology Infrastructure Staff in providing timely and reliable technological assistance and support to internal and external customers.
  • Lead the creation, development, and evolution of business systems and architecture using a best-practices approach to technology project management in order to improve PACA's efficiency through technology.
  • Establish, implement, and enforce data security and disaster recovery plans that ensure appropriate levels of business transparency, continuity, and regulation compliance.
  • Identify, evaluate, and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Technology Infrastructure Department's services.
  • Identify cost savings through negotiating contracts and streamlining business processes.
  • To work with the Executive Vice President/CFO to develop and produce Technology Infrastructure Department's annual operating budget.
  • Will complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

  • Able to maintain a physical presence at designated work location, maintain regular attendance and punctuality and work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, when required.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, both in writing and verbally. 
  • Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft products (A/D, Exchange, M365, etc.).
  • Skilled in all aspects of networking (LAN/WAN, Routing, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP) . Solid experience in managing network/system architecture projects.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Server (2019 ), Virtual Infrastructure Environments (VMware), telephony infrastructure, Database Servers (MSSQL), and Hybrid Cloud Environments(Azure/AWS).
  • Experience working with and managing both functional and technical teams. Understanding of business processes and basic corporate finance, management, and accounting principles.
  • Ability to translate non-technical business needs into technology projects to increase efficiency and provide solutions for the organization.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Able to supervise all aspects of a department.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and follow-up skills.
  • Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes in situations.

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BS or Higher: Computer Science/MIS/related field (Microsoft Certified Preferred)/or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years managing Infrastructure/Technology teams
  • Minimum of 7 years experience working with Infrastructure Technology
