Job Summary: As a Grocery Supervisor Assistant, you will work closely with the Grocery Manager to oversee the operations of the grocery department. Your responsibilities will include assisting with inventory management, stocking shelves, providing customer service, and supporting team members. Join us in ensuring the availability of a wide selection of grocery products and creating a welcoming environment for our customers.
Examples of Duties:
- Assist the Grocery Manager in managing inventory levels and ordering products to maintain adequate stock levels.
- Stock shelves and displays with new merchandise, ensuring items are neatly arranged and properly labeled.
- Provide assistance to customers, including answering inquiries, locating products, and resolving issues or concerns.
- Assist with training and supervising grocery department staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of perishable items.
- Monitor department cleanliness and organization, including cleaning shelves, displays, and work areas.
- Collaborate with team members to implement merchandising strategies and promotional activities to drive sales.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Grocery Manager or store management.
Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of grocery products and categories.
- Familiarity with inventory management principles and stocking procedures.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations related to grocery products.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
