Job Summary: As a Meat Clerk at Broulim’s, you'll be an essential part of our meat department, responsible for assisting customers, maintaining product displays, and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the meat counter. Join us in providing excellent customer service and offering high-quality meat products to our valued customers.
Examples of Duties:
Assist customers in selecting, weighing, and packaging meat products.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat department, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
Receive, inspect, and stock incoming meat products within the department and deli wall, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
Answer customer inquiries and provide information about various meat cuts and products.
Operate and maintain meat department equipment, such as scales and slicers.
Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.
Knowledge:
Familiarity with various meat cuts and preparation techniques and a willingness to learn best cuts for certain meat dishes.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
Basic understanding of meat department equipment and tools.
Skills:
Attention to detail in maintaining a clean and organized meat department.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to operate meat department equipment safely.
Basic organizational skills for stocking and arranging products.
Abilities:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts required.
Adaptability to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
Listening and following through with assigned tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
Previous experience in a grocery store or customer service role is advantageous.
