Duties
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling all cash, credit, and digital transactions with attention to detail and integrity
- Greet customers warmly, providing friendly and professional service throughout their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product questions, offering knowledgeable recommendations and conducting product demos when appropriate
- Upsell additional items or services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase store sales
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandising displays are tidy and inviting
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays regularly to ensure product availability and attractive presentation
- Handle cash drawer balancing at the end of each shift, ensuring accuracy in retail math and cash handling procedures
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is advantageous
- Supervising experience is a plus, especially in guiding team members or managing customer interactions during busy periods
- Bilingual skills are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base effectively
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette, are essential for engaging with customers professionally
- Knowledge of retail store products, merchandising techniques, and basic math skills will support your success in this role
