What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator I position at Brothers Machine & Tool Inc.?
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for set up, operation of lathes and mills, both CNC and conventional equipment, to turn, bore, form, mill or face materials.
- Responsible for reporting to work on time and keep productions flowing.
- Responsible for communicating to supervisor need for tools, parts or problems in production.
- Responsible for logging production in Employee application.
- Responsible for keeping work area neat and organized.
- Participate in regularly scheduled training for continual compliance.
- Machine Operators are required to inspect parts that they are machining
Qualifications:
Required:
- Must be able to comply with ITAR and EAR residency requirements
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residents
- Must have a good understanding of AS9100 & DDTC guidelines to assure quality in all aspects of the business processes.
Education / Experience:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 3 Years Experience in a manufacturing environment operating CNC and lathes.
- Knowledge of basic math skills.
- Ability to learn/read metric measuring tools.
Skills:
- Effective communication techniques for collaboration for all departments.
- Expertise / knowledge in Machine set up (CNC Mill &Lathes machines)
- Knowledge in CNC and Conventional machining
- Ability to read blueprints and planning.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $19.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
