2nd Shift Production Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

The 2nd shift Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Brothers Desserts to ensure optimal production, quality, and safety. This position will Manage a shift for the operations team to achieve attainment goals with a strong focus for Safety and Quality; while leading the team by mentoring and coaching your staff.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Oversee and manage the entire production process of ice cream manufacturing.
• Ensure production targets are met, and the product is manufactured to the highest quality standard.
• Implement and enforce good manufacturing practices (GMP) and food safety standards.
• Analyze current production processes and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing production team, ensuring optimal performance.
• Conduct performance reviews, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development opportunities.
• Work closely with the Quality Control team to ensure that products meet strict quality standards.
• Investigate and address any issues or complaints related to product quality.
• Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in resource allocation.
• Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as necessary to avoid any disruptions in the production process.
• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards.
• Address any unsafe acts or conditions to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of staff.
• Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, issues, and accomplishments.
• Maintain accurate records of production, inventory, and employee performance. Maintain and complete all required documentation following OSHA and EPA regulatory requirements (e.g., logs, records, checklist, etc.)

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Manufacturing, Food Science, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, GMP, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience working as a Production Manager
• 6 years of experience working in Food Manufacturing

Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
