Core Responsibilities
- Driving: Safe OTR operation of automatic tractor-trailers across regional and national routes.
- Logistics: Monitoring freight (such as temperature-controlled reefer goods) without physically moving it.
- Compliance: Strictly adhering to FMCSA, DOT, and hazardous materials safety standards.
- Inspections: Completing standard pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Tech & Logging: Utilizing GPS navigation for route adjustments and maintaining accurate hours of service (HOS) logs. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A).
- Comfort operating automatic commercial vehicles.
- Knowledge of diverse trailer types (Reefer, Tanker, Flatbed, Hazmat).
- Familiarity with freight management systems, documentation, and DOT regulations.
Job Overview & Compensation
- Position Type: Over-the-Road (OTR) Contracted Driver (1099, Solo).
- Weekly Earnings: $1,750 - $2,275 gross total weekly pay ($0.60 - $0.65 CPM).
- Time on the Road: 14 - 21 expected days out, with 5 days off for every 14 days worked.
- Freight Type: Refrigerated (reefer) and Dry Van.
- Equipment: Late-model automatic trucks equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, and APU sleeper units.
Minimum Hiring Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of Tractor-Trailer experience.
- Violations: No more than 1 moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Accidents: Maximum of 1 accident within the last year.
Pay: $1,750.00 - $2,275.00 per week
