Position Summary
We are seeking a licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) / Nurse Practitioner to serve as our primary care provider. An Autonomous APRN (registered for autonomous practice in Florida) is strongly preferred, allowing independent primary care practice. Candidates eligible to obtain autonomous registration, or willing to work under a physician collaborative protocol, will also be considered.
Initial care will focus on routine preventive services and common primary care needs — annual check-ups, health screenings, management of common acute and stable chronic conditions, prescription renewals, and patient health counseling.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventive and primary care visits, both via telehealth and in person
- Perform health screenings, wellness checks, and preventive counseling
- Diagnose and manage common acute conditions and stable chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, respiratory infections)
- Order and interpret basic labs and follow up on results
- Prescribe medications within scope of practice
- Develop and document individualized patient care plans
- Maintain accurate, HIPAA-compliant electronic health records
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Florida APRN / Nurse Practitioner license
- Experience in family medicine or women's health
Preferred
- Autonomous APRN registration in Florida (or eligibility to obtain it)
- Bilingual: English and Portuguese (highly valued by our community)
- Experience in primary care or family medicine
- Interest in growing with an expanding clinic network
Schedule & Engagement
- 1099 independent contractor
- Starting at approximately 4 hours per week, expanding as patient demand and visit volume grow — with strong potential to grow into a larger, ongoing role
- Flexible schedule combining telehealth and in-person hours
- Compensation: $50–$70 per hour, depending on experience and autonomous practice status
Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
