Responsibilities
- Operator Logistics equipment such as a forklift or tugger Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Operates lift truck or uses handtruck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Determines method of shipment, affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Maintain FIFO working in the material flow.
- Routes items to departments.
Experience
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS). SAP experience preferred.
- Experience in inventory management, order picking, and packing processes.
- 1 year of recent forklift or tugger experience required.
- Experience with health and safety regulations within manufacturing and shipping environments.
- Must be able to pass a written and practical forklift exam.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.75 - $18.75 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 56 per week
