Responsibilities
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories using product knowledge, catalogs, and digital tools.
- Manage inventory levels through accurate stock control, order fulfillment, and replenishment to meet customer demand.
- Process sales transactions efficiently using POS systems while maintaining accurate cash handling and cashiering procedures.
- Collaborate with service technicians and sales teams to ensure timely availability of parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain organized shelving, stockroom cleanliness, and proper storage of automotive parts in accordance with safety standards.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to track parts usage and vehicle repair histories.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations, and resolving issues promptly.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers and assist customers effectively.
- Multilingual abilities or bilingual proficiency to serve a diverse customer base confidently.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, POS platforms, Microsoft Excel, and retail math for accurate record keeping.
- Effective communication skills combined with phone etiquette to engage customers professionally over the phone or in person.
- Organizational skills necessary for stocking, order fulfillment, inventory control, and maintaining a tidy workspace.
- Experience in dealership or retail sales environments with a focus on automotive service or parts sales is highly desirable.
