What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook position at Broosters?
Schedule: 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
Weekend availability is required.
Broosters is a locally owned coffee shop and kitchen serving coffee, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. As we continue to grow and expand our hours, we’re looking for dependable, hardworking cooks to join our afternoon and closing team.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in preparing great food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and wants to grow with a small business.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu items to Broosters standards
- Safely operate commercial fryers, flat-top grills, and other kitchen equipment
- Ensure every order is prepared with consistency, quality, and speed
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift
- Assist with food prep and inventory
- Complete nightly closing and cleaning duties
- Work efficiently during busy lunch, dinner, and evening rushes
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
Qualifications
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred (we’re willing to train the right person)
- Must be available to work 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- Weekend availability is required
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
