About the Role:
Brooms Over Broome is a local cleaning company looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Worker to help keep several properties in great shape — our office building and a few private residences. This is a part-time position offering steady, flexible hours for someone who takes pride in their work and knows how to get things done.
What You'll Be Doing:
- General building maintenance and minor repairs (fixtures, doors, hardware, etc.)
- Vacuum maintenance — cleaning, servicing, and troubleshooting commercial and residential vacuum equipment
- Yardwork and light landscaping: mowing, trimming, weeding, seasonal cleanup
- Identifying and flagging any maintenance issues before they become bigger problems
- Keeping the properties looking clean, functional, and well-maintained
What We're Looking For:
- Handy, dependable, and comfortable working independently
- Basic repair and maintenance skills — you don't need to be a licensed contractor, but you should know your way around a toolbox
- Comfortable with both indoor and outdoor tasks across two locations Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle required (you'll travel between both sites)
- Good communication — we're a small, friendly team and we like to keep things simple
Pay & Hours:
- Starting at $18/hr with the opportunity to start at up to $20/hr, depending on experience
- Part-time: approximately 20–30 hours per week
