Broomfield, a leader in the machine-building industry specializing in transformer winding equipment, generator winders, wire flatteners, trickle machines, dereelers, tensioning devices, custom tooling, as well as wire and cable equipment, is seeking a motivated Parts and Service Team Lead. This role is critical for engaging with our customers, understanding their needs, and providing them with accurate quotes for replacement parts.
While this role is an office type of position, an ideal candidate will have extensive mechanical abilities. If you've spent a number of years hands on in the mechanical field and have a strong mechanical background, but want to shift to an office environment, this job is for you.
We're willing to train on the ERP system and computer side of the job. The mechanical foundation is critical for being successful in this position and is what our company values most.
Parts/Service applicants must be willing to travel in-country and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their machinery and replacement parts needs.
- Provide accurate and timely quotes for machinery replacement parts.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure they're equipped for work in the field and have all the required parts or tools.
- Delegate tasks to a team for a balanced workflow.
- Train on the mechanical assembly floor to gain comprehensive knowledge of our machinery, enabling competent discussions with customers about our products.
- Assemble parts or sub-assemblies while on-site or in office as needed for quality assurance and proper installation.
- Travel to customer manufacturing facilities to diagnose/repair machinery.
- Utilize strong computer skills for inventory management, order processing/tracking, and customer relationship management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and mechanical advancements to provide high-quality advice and support.
- Offer in-person or over-the-phone support to customers, helping to solve issues using our team of engineers.
Requirements:
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge, ideally with experience in the machine-building industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems, and CRM software.
- Willingness to undergo intensive training on the mechanical assembly floor to become familiar with the company's machinery and operational procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a customer-oriented approach.
- Must possess a reliable source of transportation.
