About the Role:

The Activities Volunteer plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals within our community by organizing and facilitating engaging recreational and social activities. This unpaid position focuses on creating a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants can connect, learn, and enjoy themselves. The volunteer will collaborate with staff and other volunteers to plan, prepare, and execute a variety of events tailored to diverse interests and abilities. Through their efforts, the volunteer helps foster a sense of belonging and promotes mental and physical well-being among participants. Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and organizing a range of activities such as games, arts and crafts, educational workshops, and social events.
• Engage with participants to encourage involvement and ensure a positive, inclusive experience for all attendees.
• Set up and clean up activity spaces before and after events to maintain a safe and welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to evaluate the success of activities and suggest improvements.
• Provide support and assistance to participants as needed, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout activities.
