What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Electronic Technology Teacher position at Broome-Tioga BOCES?
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Teach and supervise high school students at varying academic levels, both in academic and performance skills, to prepare them for either college or entry-level work in the Emerging Energy field.
- Experience with the fundamentals of technical support including
~ Solar Panels
~ Lithium-Ion Battery production
~ Battery Cell
~ Micro Soldering
~ Clean Energy
~ Battery Cell Technology - Instruction will include integrated academics in English, Math, and Science.
- Implement inquiry-based learning projects
- Implement project-based Learning
- Prepare students for co-ops and job shadows in the field
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- NYS Certification as an Electrical Electronic Technology CTE Teacher
OR - Bachelor's or degree in Electrical Engineering and 1 year of field experience in Electrical Electronic Maintenance and repair
OR - Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering and 2 years of field experience in Electrical Electronic Maintenance and repair
OR - High school diploma and 4 years of field experience as stated above
