Federal Account Executive – Hardware & Computing Solutions

Location: Washington, DC (Remote up to 40% travel in the NCR and major defense hubs)
Compensation: Base salary $130,000 - $150,000 OTE $260,000 - $300,000 | Ramp compensation provided for stability during pipeline development

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the entire federal sales cycle, from strategic account planning to contract negotiation and final delivery
- Develop and execute targeted territory and account strategies focusing on federal civilian and defense agencies
- Build and nurture deep relationships with procurement, program managers, and technical stakeholders to influence procurement decisions and inclusion in RFPs
- Navigate federal procurement channels such as GSA, SEWP, 2GIT, and NASA Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement to accelerate sales efforts
- Respond to RFIs/RFPs, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other federal regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams—product management, engineering, and operations—to craft solutions aligned with federal mission needs
- Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, providing forecasts and maintaining detailed opportunity records in CRM systems
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen our federal presence and thought leadership
Qualifications & Experience:
- 7 years of B2B enterprise sales experience, with a minimum of 4 years focused on U.S. federal government contracting (civilian or DoD)
- Demonstrated success selling complex hardware and technology solutions with deal sizes exceeding $500K
- Deep understanding of federal acquisition processes, procurement cycles, and contracting procedures (FAR, DFARS)
- Proven ability to manage multi-stakeholder enterprise deals through consultative and value-based selling approaches
- Strong executive presence with excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of current federal IT initiatives, modernization programs, and edge computing trends
- Familiarity with federal procurement vehicles and how to leverage them for accelerated sales
