What you’ll do
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, medicating, and exercising them.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels and common areas to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
- Support veterinarians and assistants with routine examinations and treatments as needed.
- Engage with pet owners, providing updates on their pets’ well-being and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Handle animal restraint safely during grooming or medical procedures.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss animal care strategies and improvements.
Basic qualifications
- Experience in animal handling or care, particularly with dogs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required for kennel maintenance and animal handling.
Preferred qualifications
- Previous kennel experience or work as a veterinary assistant/technician. .
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners.
- Knowledge of basic animal care principles, including nutrition and health monitoring.
