What are the responsibilities and job description for the Design Engineer position at BROOKVILLE EQUIPMENT CORPORATION?
Job Functions:
- Develop and maintain 3D models and assemblies in Solid Edge for streetcars, locomotives, mining equipment and other products.
- Manage top-level assembly models for custom projects.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project teams through full product lifecycle.
- Work directly with customers on custom design requirements and modifications.
- Establish and improve modeling standards across product lines.
- Support manufacturing floor with design clarifications and modifications.
Requirements:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
- Proficiency in Solid Edge or similar software with willingness to learn
- Understanding of mechanical design principles and assembly function
- Effective and professional communication skills for customer and cross-functional coordination
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience desired
