Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- Accounts Receivable experience and prior bookkeeping knowledge.
- Computer literacy in accounting data based programs, Microsoft Word, and Excel
Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
Performs BCCS Accounts Receivable billing and posting of cash receipts from funding sources for all five sites in adherence to all Department of Health, State Education Department regulations, and BCCS policies and procedures.
- Prepare all accounts receivable for all five sites for the Tuition Programs and CPSE
- Collect student IEP information, parent consents, prescriptions, and referrals to be scanned electronically to the Nassau Portal for Medicaid billing by a third party
- Collect appropriate attendance forms from teachers and related staff in order to verify accurate attendances for billing purposes
- Maintain Excel spreadsheets for billing and posting cash receipts payments
- Assist in collection of month end paperwork from all teachers and related service providers
- Enter data in CLAIMS software for demographic information and services for new children and for changes in services
- Run monthly attendance reports to ensure that all teachers and therapists have entered attendance in CLAIMS
- Verify billing to class lists for accuracy
- Prepare STAC-1 and STAC-5 Research forms for Nassau County districts that have outstanding balances on CPSE tuition programs and Preschool Evaluations
- Assist supervisor by copying reports, documents, collecting information as directed, etc
