Job Summary
Join our dedicated team as a Housekeeping/Dietary Aide, where you will play a vital role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and staff alike. In this energetic position, you will assist with meal preparation, food service, and sanitation tasks to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and dietary support in addition to housekeeping assignments throughout the facility. Most of the hours will be in Housekeeping. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will contribute to the overall well-being and satisfaction of our residents, fostering a warm and caring community atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and meal service in accordance with dietary guidelines and safety standards
- Work as a housekeeper with an assignment throughout the facility following an established cleaning routine for resident bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and food storage spaces through thorough sanitation and cleaning procedures.
- Serve meals to residents with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring proper food handling and presentation
- Support the dietary department by bussing tables, cleaning dishes, and managing food safety protocols
- Help with general housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal to uphold a hygienic environment
- Follow all food safety regulations including proper food handling, sanitation practices, and documentation
- Collaborate with Resident Care staff and other team members to meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences
Skills
- Experience in assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly preferred
- Background in food production, culinary arts, or the food industry demonstrates valuable skills in meal preparation and service
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple responsibilities during busy shifts
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with residents and team members
- Previous dietary aide or housekeeping experience is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in cleaning, serving, and food preparation tasks
Pay: $14.00 per hour
