Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Tech/PCA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing essential patient care and support to individuals with various medical needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and other health conditions. This role requires a strong commitment to patient well-being, adherence to HIPAA regulations, and the ability to maintain accurate medical records.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions to the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist in assisted living and hospice care settings, providing compassionate support to patients and their families. .
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with dementia is preferred.
- Strong background in patient care, including familiarity with hospice care practices.
- Proficient in maintaining medical records and understanding of HIPAA compliance.
- Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
- Experience in dementia care, demonstrating patience and understanding towards patients' needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
