What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver/Medication Aide position at Brookstone Retirement Center?
Caregiver – Brookstone Senior Living
At Brookstone Senior Living, our caregivers are the heart of everything we do. We're committed to investing in the people who make our community thrive — offering certification assistance and a competitive compensation package. If you're compassionate, dependable, and ready to make a real difference, we'd love to have you on our team.
What You'll Do
You'll support residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe transfers — always following individual service plans and encouraging residents to do as much for themselves as possible. You'll serve meals in our dining room or apartments, help prepare food according to planned menus, and monitor residents' nutrition and fluid intake while honoring their right to make their own choices.
You'll play an active role in our community life, joining residents in activities, encouraging socialization, and helping them build friendships. You'll also assist with or supervise medication administration in accordance with physician orders, state law, and company policy.
Keeping accurate, timely records is an important part of this role — documenting medications, activities, incidents, and any changes in a resident's physical or emotional condition, and reporting promptly to your supervisor.
You'll maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment through regular housekeeping and laundry duties, respond quickly and positively to resident requests, know the whereabouts of residents in your care, and collaborate with your teammates to provide the best possible experience for everyone in our community.
